Pictures and Callbacks

I finally got my camera to work so here are the pictures of the kids cleaning the walls and with their charts. Also the other picture is of evan and ellie getting "married". Ellie explained to me that she knew it was "just pretend because she can't really marry her brother!" The kids were playing in the back and came out dressed like this....it was so funny! Ellie had gotten into my lingerie finding something that resembled a wedding dress and Evan raided Edwin's closet...they even have dress shoes on! So funny!

Edwin's phone interview went really well...he actually recorded it for me and he sounded great! I guess we have to wait 2-3 weeks and they call back the top three for face to face interviews. And I guess all that praying yall were doing worked because he got 3 more callbacks yesterday!!! It was VERY exiting! We are still really wanting the one in Atlanta but at least we might have some options!!! Keep praying...it works! We'll keep you updated!

trying new ways to get Evan to behave!

I started Ellie and Evan a chart yesterday...They get a big sticker if they are good at the gym (Evan has not been good, imagine that!), and they get stars if they do stuff like make their beds and brush their teeth, etc. We have kind of been at our wits end with Evan so hopefully this visual approach might help! They got stars for everything yesterday plus helped us wash the walls! Even Everett wanted a rag to help! So cute! I have pictures but for some reason can't get them downloaded...

On to our great news...Edwin got 2 callbacks for interviews today!!! And one of them is for the job we really want! So they are calling at 1pm tomorrow so everyone please be praying! We were just so exited to get some callbacks at this point! We won't know anything anytime soon and I am sure it is a longer process but just be praying that Edwin is relaxed and can be himself tomorrow...he is incredible at his job so hopefully they will be able to see that when they talk to him....also I failed to mention that he has all the kids all day tomorrow because I have my spinning certification from 8-6!!! He is just going to take them to the gym nursery about 12:30 and wait for the call...weird how that one worked out right? Hope the kids are good for him tomorrow! We'll let you know how it goes!!

Baby Cason

My good friend here, Jolee, just had a baby a week ago. His name is Cason Seth Berry and he is SO CUTE!! I went over there today and didn't want to let him go! It is nice to have a baby around that I can hold and not have to be up all night with though!! I just forget how little they actually are! Not to mention how big it makes Everett look! Check this picture out of him feeding himself with a spoon! He will not eat without one! And he won't sit in his high chair either...he has to sit with the big kids! So cute!

Edwin and I have spent all weekend doing stuff to the house and packing up all the extra stuff...less we have to do later...it really makes me realize that October is not very far away...still don't know where we'll be...keep praying for patience and His timing :)

Teething....

I haven't been able to post the last couple of days because Everett has been glued to my hip and screaming constantly! He finally got one of the two teeth he has been working on...one more to go! I give him motrin and he still walks around with his finger in his mouth screaming! I feel so bad for him!! I am just so used to him being so happy and easy going that this just throws me all off! Plus it is always hard to see your kids in pain! That is one good thing about not having any more kids...this is the last set of teeth I have to "hear" coming in! On that note...my sister's sister in law (funny sounding I know), also my friend, Cricket is pregnant with her 4th!! This news hit me with all different emotions. On one hand we are so glad we stopped at three, I mean at this point I think Evan counts as 2!! But on the other this is the first time we haven't been pregnant together. Our first kids were actually born on the same day! (The pictures is us together with the two of them with shoes that have their name and birthdate from Uncle Wes) And both the others are only a month apart! So she is about to have another child that she will love so much and I won't...that is wierd to me...of course, then my husband reminds me of the 9 months of sickness I went through with Everett and I remember why we decided no more! It was too much for me to be pregnant and keep up with Evan then I can't even imagine what it would be like now :) So I am officially passing the torch to my SISTER! Give Cricket a pregnant buddy and me a little niece or nephew to cure my baby fever!!! Love to you!!

10 year reunion

Well we just got back from our 10 year reunion...how weird was that?! I mean you run into people here and there but most of them I hadn't seen in 10 years! It was crazy! And you know how in high school you have all these clicks and issues with one another but it seems as we grow older we also grow wiser. (well some of us anyway :) I mean we were able to really come together and have a good time. I really enjoyed seeing everyone and hanging out with some of my old friends. I hope it is not another 10 years that I don't see some of them...it is cool that through things like blogs and facebook (which I am told is the new MySpace) and the sort you can keep up with people a little easier. Here is a pic of Edwin and I before we went...did I marry the most handsome man or what? And on that note, I thought Edwin would be bored but he ended up having a great time...he is so great about that. Well it didn't hurt that all the guys thought he looked like Tiger Woods and were calling him that all night. It was also great to see our other friends and family...including the new Mr. and Mrs. Ostojic! What a cute couple they are! And how good did they look holding a bunch of kids in their arms! Ha ha! I mean they are looking at each other almost giddy in this picture! But remember guys, once you have them you don't get much ALONE time!!! We also got to see all of my grandparents which all 5 of us enjoyed so much...Ellie actually spent the night with Grandma Sue 2 nights in a row! What a big girl right?

What will come out of her mouth next?!

Ellie is in this stage where you never know what she will say next...sometimes it is quite funny and others are quite nasty! She has learned the whole "I hate you" thing which never sounds good to a mom or dad...she also says "when I go over to someone's house to spend the night I am going to stay there and not come back!" Ha ha! If she only knew how good she has it right? But, of course, those are the nasty comments that she says when she doesn't get what she wants and she has had plenty of soap put in her mouth! But she has a lot of cute comments also...telling me how "cute" I look, or rubbing my strech marks and saying "I like these, they are from when I was in your tummy" and telling me how she wanted to "go home and cuddle up with daddy" yesterday...today in the car she was saying how she wasn't going to have 16 kids anymore because that would be too much work, she thinks she will only have 4. "That would be much easier!" I am having a hard enough time with 3 :) Then she turns to Evan and says "you can't have children yet, you have to find a HUNNY first!" I about died laughing...she was so serious and went on about it for awhile with him! Anyway, that is what Ellie is up to now a days!

Looking forward to the weekend!!!

Well...with feelings much the same as yesterday I am looking forward to going to mom and dad's for a long weekend! I think we need a break from the craziness down here and to just sit around the kitchen table with our friends and family...this week has been long with me teaching 3 classes in a row everyday (lots of subbing and spinning started a week early) so my body needs a break! Edwin has been working very hard at work and at home and can sure use a little R and R. Now for those of you who don't know I am going home for my 10 year high school reunion! It is crazy how time flies! It will be interesting to see what everyone is doing with their lives...it amazes me how I thought I was just so mature in high school and looking back I realize how clueless I really was! I have grown up so much since then and I know in another 10 years I will say the same thing. But the best things in my life have happened to me since I left high school so I will proudly show them off this weekend :) (Not to brag but you know the hot husband and 3 adorable children! Ha Ha) Here is a recent pic of the boys...I told you Evan had a sweet side! Anyway...I am off to class...I can't wait to go home tomorrow!!! PS. Dad if you're reading this please excuse all the grammer and spelling mistakes...remember I was a math major!!

Mixed feelings...

So almost one year ago we were set to get out of the Air Force and I was SO READY! I was just so exited...now with the date approaching I seem to be in complete denial! Our actual out date is December 20th but with all the leave we have saved up it looks more like October...Edwin is applying like crazy to jobs but we haven't heard back from any yet so keep praying! Back to the issue at hand...why are things so different now? Well I have made some good friends here, one of them just a little boy yesterday! Also Ellie is starting kindergarten but I think the biggest thing is how I am so comfortable in my job at the YMCA now...I mean it is kind of like having an extended family...I have the people I am used to seeing everyday and I just love the classes that I am teaching...plus we just got spinning bikes (I taught my first spin class last night and it was awesome!) I know I can find that somewhere else but to those who know me well you know, for some reason, I don't adapt to change as well as you would think! Plus, I guess I was so exited about the thought of being closer to home and now that might not happen...so I don't know...I guess it hit hard today because I had to inform my boss that I was leaving in a couple of months and she really doesn't want me to leave :) I guess when Edwin gets a job and I know where we are going I will start to be more exited, but for now I really have mixed feelings about it all...

destructive evan

Since Evan was little he always been a handful...a very cute handful but always into something...well the last couple nights have been ones for the books for him! Two nights ago I find him in our room with our for sale sign (to go in our yard) and he is scraping the stakes all over our flat screen tv!!! I didn't know how in the world I was going to tell Edwin that Evan had made about 10-12 scrapes on the screen of the tv...that was bad...VERY bad...so we finally deal with that and calm down and last night while I was cooking dinner I hear something in the living room....he has brought a broom in from the garage and knocked my new red nail polish off the mantle all over our beige carpet!! I mean, come on....does it ever end? It hit the tile in front of the fire place and shattered and splattered all over the tile and carpet...what a mess...We are trying to get the house ready to put on the market and that little boy keeps making more on our "to do" list...I have always said that Evan is either "super bad" or "super cute", there is no in between...let me just say he has seen a lot of his room and a lot of the spanking spoon the last couple of days! Let's hope he doesn't ruin anything else today...I don't think Edwin or I can handle it right now! We are ready for some of the "super cute" Evan okay?! The picture is after about and hour of scrubbing and using every remedy we could find on the internet...side note...shaving cream works wonders, who would have thought?

work

so today I taught 3 classes in a row! I mean I was working out from 8am to 11:30am!!! Crazy right? At least the last one was AOA (active older adults) so there wasn't much cardio but it was still a lot of weights and I'm tired! I am also feeling quite yucky because I usually get to take a shower but the kids were in the daycare so long I figured I better go get them! But they were good so I promised them we would go fly their kites...there is no wind but if they run fast enough they stay in the air! Then hopefully I might be able to rest my eyes a bit :)

Nana

Our Nana (Edwin's gma) is here and let me tell you that woman can clean! I mean she does a whole spring cleaning every time she is here...it is TOTALLY amazing! And it takes so much off of me...I mean she cooks, cleans, babysits for date night! Pretty amazing right?

We took the kids to the pool today and Evan continues to amaze me in the pool. The boy swims everywhere! And best part is that it wears him out...if you know Evan this is a pretty amazing fact! The boy just doesn't stop...but if he swims he sleeps forever, which is even better!
